10 Things to Help Solve Depression

Solve DepressionFeeling down, or feeling really low to life is gaining momentum in America as well as many other parts of the world.  Our current media driven fear is increasing the levels of depression that we face each and every day.  When we see terrible shootings, restrictions on personal freedoms, limitations to equal rights, and our financial institutions growing stronger financially while we are nearing extinction in our personal finances, it’s not uncommon to enter into a stage of depression.

Though we are not victim to any of the above, we do play a common role promoting our own sense of a diminished self.  Our role is we bank with financial institutions, we watch television, we purchase items at large corporate chains, and we allow our children to partake in violent video games that have built in strategies paralleling world disaster events.  And there is something else that adds a bonus kick to each of these—we feel this is what we must do. Yet, we do have a choice!

Within us is a tremendous gift of strength and intelligence, yet we choose to be a follower instead of a leader.  There is a famous paradigm that I created that goes like this:  “There are only two kinds of people on this planet; Creators and Imitators!”  And just to clarify from the general version of this, “leaders and followers”, Creators bring something new in and imitators create a like image or design by using the pattern created by someone else.  We’ve all see this in the world today:  televisions, phones, tablets and ipads, calculators, cars, planes, even by genetically creating the looks of children, cloning animals, and the list goes on and on.

By not using our gifts of creative ability, and not expressing the Good that we came here to express, we become imitators.  Now some of you may say that imitators don’t always fair so bad, and that is true, but one thing I have come to discover is, that imitators are never as happy as Creators.

So our list of 10 Things to Help Solve Depression are:

  1. 1.      Use your Gift.  (You know what you always have been dreaming of.)
  2. 2.      Avoid as much television as you can and do something creative instead.
  3. 3.      Don’t buy things you don’t need just because everyone else has them.
  4. 4.      Use your Inner Wisdom to give you great insight into your own well-being.
  5. 5.      Eat what your body needs, not what you know is not good for you.
  6. 6.      Only go to sleep after saying what you are grateful for.  (make a list to remind yourself)
  7. 7.      Take time to be still…doing nothing.  (notice what pulls at your attention during this time)
  8. 8.      Praise yourself and everyone you come in contact with.  (find something to be kind about)
  9. 9.      Forgive everyone and everything.
  10. 10.  Tell someone you don’t like you appreciate them.  (they are simply showing you where you need to grow. So be thankful!)

Just by following this simple guideline to release our depression goes a long way.  If we don’t do something to work on what is causing the problem then we are in agreement with the problem of depression.  Accepting that depression “is a choice” is the single biggest factor for us to move through these hallow times.  Don’t let depression steal the life out of you…it is a fast moving vicissitude that gathers agreement from others trying to prove that it is real; yet depression is an affliction of the mind, and must be overturned with that same mind!

It only takes these ten easy steps to avoid the dread of another day.  Begin today.  Change your life.  You can do it!

I believe in you.
